Chinese toy enterprises set great store by the recent recall issue aimed at unsafe foreign brand toys made in China. Although the vast majority never failed to meet the safety standards, they regard this issue as an opportunity to once again emphasize quality control among their staff. With skilled labor and diversified products, Chinese toy industry has won recognition from top toy brands and retail stores in the world, through which our toys are channeled to almost all countries and regions. Therefore, the toy enterprises are aware of the responsibility they have on their shoulders, and they would not allow any bit of negligence.
Recently, 16 Chinese toy exporters jointly call on all manufacturers and exporters of toys to obey the following discipline: prudently accept orders; strictly examine product quality; adopt the monitor of trade associations; reinforce brand promotion. The total value of toys that they exported in 2006 amounted to USD 160,000,000.
They believe that “the Chinese people are well able to make full use of our advantageous resources, to consolidate the outcome of our diligent work, and to convince the world that they can set their worries aside and enjoy the happiness and harmony that we bring”.
